Matt Green is the founder and president of Green Emergency Management Services LLC, the host of the State of Disaster podcast, and moderator of the Disaster Discourse book club.
Matt is an emergency management and business leader with all-hazards experience across preparedness, mitigation, response, and long-term recovery. He has spent his entire career solving unique problems at the intersection of crisis and technology.
He has scaled a two-person consulting company to a national, Inc. 5000, award-winning champion of public- and private-sector innovation before taking multiple director-level roles within a larger consulting organization and eventually making his return to government work.
He has a master's degree in public administration with a focus in Emergency & Disaster Management from the Metropolitan College of New York where he now teaches the integration of emerging technologies and cybersecurity for emergency managers enrolled in graduate and undergraduate programs.
He also holds several certifications and certificates including IAEM's Certified Emergency Manager (CEM), The Coast Guard Emergency Management Credential (CGEMC), McAfee's Certified Social Media Intelligence Expert (CSMIE), and the National Emergency Management Advanced Academy (NEMAA).
